Playing with our Solar Cockroaches is great fun, but scientists at the 

University of California, Berkeley have been hard at work combining robotics with lessons learned from Mother Nature. Similar to the aerodynamic and hydrodynamic shapes of birds and fish, cockroaches are "terradynamically streamlined" to better move through their cluttered environments.
