Add some lighting effects to your next MicroBit or Arduino project without the need for soldering. This hard PCB stick features 8 individual WS2812B RGB LEDs, often called NeoPixels. Just plug your ribbon cable of choice, such as our Crazy Circuits Ribbon Cable, connect it to a Bit Board or Robotics Board and program away. Each individual LED can be controlled using only a single data line.
We use this part in several of our Crazy Circuits and Bit Board Rover Kits. It's very easy to learn and control, especially with a MicroBit and MS Make Code. If you've never used one before check out our many guides. We find it to be super handy to show output from various sensors.
To connect it to our Robotics or Bit Board use any three pin ribbon cable. The board requires a power input of between 3V and 5V, though it does tend to work best between 4V-5V. It is also possible to connect several of these boards together by soldering on male headers, female headers, or wires onto the additional solder points. The board also features two M33 sized screw holes for mounting.
