This IR Sensor works great with our Bit Board or Robotics Board and is a simple way to add a sensor to your next robotics project.
This IR Sensor uses light to detect changes in color. We use this sensor with our Bit Board Rover in order to tell the difference between black and white in our Line Follow projects. This sensor will accept voltage inputs from 3.3V to 5V and can detect changes between 1mm and 25mm away. Output is digital, not analogue. Simple adjustments can be made using the on board potentiometer.
Information is output via 4 male pin headers on the circuit board. To connect it to our Robotics or Bit Board just use a standard female to female ribbon cable or our custom Crazy Circuits Ribbon Cable. For example code and projects please look around our Project Database.
